After completing his education overseas he had returned to Sri Lanka and was preparing to enter into matrimony. However, because he was involved in a law suit he was somewhat perturbed. The reason for this was that when he had come to Sri Lanka for his vacation in the month of February 2014 he had run over a 52 year old person by a vehicle he had been driving and the deceased who was on his way to Devinuwara Vishnu Devala had died as a result. The accident has taken place because Sahan had not been equipped with a valid driving license and had even driven the vehicle in a negligent manner.
