In protest against a nefarious soldier villages take to streets.

An incident is reported from Galmulla area in Bakamuna where a 13 year old school girl ailing

from heart decease had been raped by a nefarious soldier residing in the same area.

The army soldier 34 year old father of three children had not had a good heart to harm this innocent girl by raping her. The Police had not taken proper action against this nefarious soldier when complaints of raping had been reported.

The girl in question, her parents and the grandmother had been misled by promising to be given money by the nefarious soldier’s family had tried to stop them from reporting about the incident. As no proper action and injustice had been meted out to the girl, action that had been taken by the police for this rape incident the villages had got together and protested against the Bakamuna police in the junction of the Bakamuna police and Galmulla junction on the 24th instant noon.

It had been proved that the woman police officer to whom the complaint had been handed over was the aunt of the suspect soldier’s wife. However when the case was taken up by the officer in charge of the child and women’s probation care the case had been forwarded to Hingurakgoda courts when he had been remanded but later released on bail.

It is reported that the suspect soldier who was released on bail had threatened the girl who was affected and her parents. The affected girl who had got pregnant also had joined in the protest. It has also been reported that the soldier had taken steps to prevent a sum of rupees twelve thousand been awarded  to the victim.
