Not only Rebecca .... even H.A., Henry, Satish, Monica, Trilisha also died of cancer Can become cancer patient .... because of wrong sexual activities of some artistes -- Dr. Wasantha Dissanayaka
Deputy Director of Maharagama Cancer Hospital Dr. Wasantha Dissanayaka has made a revelation about artistes who passed away from cancer including Rebecca Nirmali. What he says as one of the foremost reasons for artistes to suffer from cancer could also be, misdirected sexual relationships.
The views he expressed revealing about this topic to the Sarasaviya newspaper is as follows: "There's no distinction for cancer whether a person is popular, unpopular, affluent or poor. But wrongful habits which stem from being involved in that particular trade concerned could result in cancer. The first reason is cigarettes. The second, liquour. The third, incorrect eating habits and the fourth, wrong
sexual relationships, we notice. This I say not because I have any displeasure with anybody but it is important that one must be careful from all those things. If we talk about eating patterns, consumption of types of meat, food containing fat and eating less vegetables and green leafy vegetables could contribute towards this situation. This is what I point out. Everybody who engages in a risky trade, by refraining from such mistakes, while safeguarding the health, would be fortunate to expand the life-span.
* Not only Rebecca ... you met so many individuals related to the field of Arts at this hospital .... haven't you?
Certainly yes. People connected to the field of Arts like Monica Ruwan Pathirana, Henry Jayasena, Sunil Pathirana, H.A. Perera, Henry Caldera, Janesh Silva, Sathish Perera, Trilicia Goonawardena, Somapala Dharmapriya are among such names. There's another important thing I have to say. That is about how they died. Monica Ruwan Pathirana died with the cancer spreading into her brain. Henry Jayasena had the cancer in his intestines .... but it was not from that that he died. H.A. Perera had a cancer in his gullet. Sathish died from Leucheamia (not by drinking). None of them were afraid of death.
In the same way, it must be said that a number of fateful incidents too were connected with some of them. If we talk about Rebecca, she acts in the teledrama Weda Hamine as a doctor who treats cancer patients. She died in real life from cancer. A similar stroke of destiny played a part in the life of Somapala Dharmapriya. Mrytle Fernando stars with him in the film Rekhava. Anula stars with him in the film Rekhava. Anula who acts with Sena, dies in real life from Leukeamia. About 20 years later, Somapala who played the role of Sena too dies of Leukeamia which is a quaint twist of destiny, as I see it.
You must remember that cancer isn't a contagious disease. it must be said that even today there are many who are among the living in the field of Arts having recovered from cancer.
