RAIGAM TELE’ES 2011 NOMINATIONS

Raigam Tele’es awards ceremony on the day after tomorrow:

The names nominated have been released:

Pabhoda, Damitha and Samadi in a hot contest for the best actress while for the best actor the keen contest is between Bimal,Palitha and Janak:

The Raigam Tele’es awards 2011 is scheduled to be held at the “WATERS EDGE”,Battaramulla on the 11th of May. On this day the best actor/the best actress award would receive awards. For both these types of contests the wards would be made in a different manner. This time it would not be by coupons, but by SMS’s. How the contests are with SMS’s would be shown in the electronic media. But the finalists would be announced while the awards ceremony is in progress.
However for other various types of categories, they would be selected through a panel comprising of a panel of competent judges. They would be selecting the best performers for the many awards that are to be presented. The panel consists of 7 judges.The panel is headed by Professor Patrick Ratnayake. The rest of the panel consists of M/s Professor Ajantha Hapuarachchi, Professor Sampath Amaratunga, Visharada Edward Jayakody, Lecturer Hansamala Ritigahapola, famous and popular dramatist Gunasena Galappathy and retired senior Administrative officer R.Dharmakulasingham.
According to the nominees there appear to be stiff contest between Pabhoda and Damith for the best Actress while a close battle for the best Actor would be between Bimal, Palitha and Janak, while for the best Tele drama there appears to be a close between the Tele dramas Lihiniya,Sayankanda,Athkanda and Senakeliya.
