A three-wheel driver who arrived at a hotel in the Sapugaskanda area with a woman suddenly fell ill and died in the room. However, the notable aspect of this incident is that the woman who accompanied him fled the hotel immediately after his death.
An officer from the Sapugaskanda Police, speaking to Lankadeepa on the 11th, stated that there was an alleged illicit relationship between the deceased three-wheel driver and the woman. The two of them had booked the hotel room together and gone inside, where he suddenly fell ill.
At the time of the incident, the woman came out of the room and informed a hotel employee that the person she came with was unconscious on the bed. Understanding the situation, the employee immediately took action and called the 1990 ambulance service at that very moment.
Accordingly, ambulance officials who quickly arrived at the hotel examined the unconscious person and informed that he had already passed away. Subsequently, the hotel employee inquired about the deceased's family members from the woman and arranged to inform them.
