Severe unrest has erupted during the Satyagraha (protest) held at Viharamahadevi Park in Colombo, demanding a presidential pardon for Venerable Gnanasara Thero. The situation further escalated when Kurunduwatta Police attempted to remove the protesters, and a woman made a serious accusation before the media, claiming that a police officer sexually harassed her by placing a court order on her chest and touching her breasts.

This incident was reported when Kurunduwatta Police arrived at the location with a court order obtained from the Colombo Chief Magistrate's Court to remove the group, including the monks participating in the Satyagraha. The police showed the court order and informed the protesters to vacate the premises.

However, Venerable Balangoda Kassapa Thero, who was present, as well as male and female followers, strongly protested against it. Disregarding the court order given by the police, the protesters argued with police officers, stating that they would not leave the premises under any circumstances. Due to this, some scuffling also occurred between the police and the group engaged in the Satyagraha.

Subsequently, although the police showed the court order, it was disregarded, and they stated that they could not leave the place while scuffling. Then, one police officer loudly read the court order through a megaphone for the crowd to hear, and later, when it was time for them to leave, the police had departed. This was when the Kurunduwatta Police were pushing the Satyagraha group, and the woman, along with another woman who had acted as a female exorcist the previous day, informed the media that the court order was directed towards a woman's chest, touching her breasts, and that she had been subjected to police harassment.
