These are silly games - a statement from Iraj after Namal was imprisoned

After his close political associate was remanded for fraud, social media activist and musician Iraj Weeraratne addressed the media and said:

"So now it's the sixth. The President must have something to say, right? Because have these ports been built, or airports, or has the money from Uganda been brought? So since there's nothing to say, and also, these 'dobies' (supporters) need to be hyped up a bit. Now, those 'dobies' who comment need to be excited a bit. And the best way to excite them is when these things appear on Facebook and YouTube, and the 'dobies' go "Ammo" (an exclamation of surprise/excitement). They really like these things.

That's why there's really nothing else to say. Because what happened in these two years? This coal scam happened.

Before, if someone got shot somewhere, it was big news. Now, sometimes you don't even see it in the news. That means this happens daily. Hackers steal money. Then there's that incident with the 320 containers. So you can't talk about those things, can you? And also, most of the people with this government are a large portion of those former 6.9 million. So those people have also truly understood now that these people are telling complete lies."
