Sri Lanka Police has launched a special investigation to arrest a suspect accused of abducting and sexually abusing a 13-year-old minor girl at Galle Face Green in Colombo. It is reported that this criminal incident occurred on January 23, 2026, within the Fort Police Division area.

According to a complaint received by the Fort Police Station regarding the incident, investigations have been launched, and the police have also released a composite sketch of the individual to identify the relevant suspect. The police request the public to provide any information that would help locate or identify the person involved in the crime.
