The parcel sent by courier from abroad contained five crore worth of Kush.

A stock of Kush and Hashish drugs, valued at over five crore rupees, imported into the country from abroad via a private courier service, has been discovered by the Western Province North Crimes Division. This discovery was made based on information received from a suspect who was being interrogated under a detention order.

Police stated that while the suspect, who was arrested by the Western Province North Crimes Division on the 19th for a drug possession incident, was being held under a detention order and further investigations were being conducted, information regarding this drug trafficking operation came to light.

Accordingly, officers of the Western Province North Divisional Crimes Division, with the assistance of customs officers, inspected parcels held by customs on the 22nd, and the relevant stock of drugs hidden therein was taken into police custody.

The seized drug stock includes 3 kilograms and 599 grams of Kush and 2 kilograms and 409 grams of Hashish. The Western Province North Crimes Division is conducting further investigations into the incident.
