Namal Rajapaksa's rise cannot be stopped by putting him in prisons - Rohitha

Parliamentary MP Rohitha Abeygunawardena states that the imprisonment of MP Namal Rajapaksa cannot hinder his political progress. Speaking to the media, he pointed out that even though attempts were made to imprison Mr. Namal Rajapaksa with the aim of incapacitating the public rally organized for the upcoming September 12th, those plans will not succeed at all.

The MP stated that in the face of such political retaliations carried out by the government, the public is further organizing themselves, and that requests are already being made for a larger population than initially expected to join the said meeting.

MP Rohitha Abeygunawardena further emphasized that the public handed over power to the current government to fulfill their hopes and needs, not to engage in retaliations by imprisoning political opponents.
