Hundreds of thousands worth of 'Ice' (drug) found with the two youths seriously injured in the bike accident

Kotadeniyawa Police have succeeded in finding 350 grams of 'Ice' drug, worth millions of rupees, in the possession of two young men who were seriously injured in a bus-motorcycle accident that occurred in the Dorowwa area, which belongs to the Kotadeniyawa Police Division, on the afternoon of the 6th.

The rider and pillion rider of the motorcycle were severely injured in this horrific head-on collision between the motorcycle and the bus, and residents and the police jointly took steps to immediately admit them to the Dambadeniya Divisional Hospital.

During investigations conducted at the accident site, Kotadeniyawa police officers examined the bags belonging to the injured individuals and found the stock of 'Ice' drug cleverly hidden inside, and the substance was immediately taken into police custody.

The two young men arrested are aged 21 and 25, residents of Grandpass and Wellampitiya areas. As their condition was serious at Dambadeniya Hospital, they have been transferred to Kurunegala Teaching Hospital for further treatment and are currently receiving treatment under police protection.

Kotadeniyawa Police are conducting further investigations to ascertain whether they met with this accident while transporting drugs from Colombo to another area, or if they are part of a drug network.
