The person injured in the Habarakada shooting is Habarakada Kasun's brother-in-law

A hotel owner who was injured in a shooting that occurred last night (17) in the Athurugiriya, Habarakada, Seelalankara Mawatha area, has been admitted to Homagama Base Hospital under police protection and is currently receiving treatment.

The injured person is a cousin of 'Dubai Kasun' alias 'Habarakada Kasun', a member of an organized crime gang currently residing abroad. Police preliminary investigations have revealed that this attack is a result of an ongoing conflict between two groups of drug traffickers.

Two individuals who arrived on a motorcycle carried out the shooting and fled, and neighbors stated that about three gunshots were heard at the time of the attack.

The suspects who carried out the shooting have not yet been arrested, and Athurugiriya Police are conducting further investigations to apprehend them.
