The main suspect in the killing of a person at a birthday party in Kadawatha has been arrested.

Kadawatha Police have succeeded in arresting the main suspect connected to the incident where a 54-year-old person died due to a severe assault that occurred during a birthday party held in the Ihala Biyanwila area of Kadawatha.

This unfortunate incident was reported last weekend, and the dispute arose when the deceased was participating in his brother's birthday celebration. Police investigations have revealed that after a heated argument during the party escalated, two individuals carried out an assault with sharp weapons.

After three individuals who sustained serious injuries from that violent attack were admitted to Ragama Teaching Hospital, the 54-year-old person thus died. Currently, the main suspect in the incident has been taken into police custody, and Kadawatha Police are conducting further investigations to find the other suspect who fled the area after the attack.
