The house was looted even before the body of the woman who died at the hospital was brought.

Two individuals who broke into a house and stole valuable items before the body of a woman, who died while hospitalized in the Ranpokunagama area of Horana, was brought home, have been arrested by the Horana Headquarters Police. The arrested individuals are two drug addicts, aged 27 and 35, both residents of the Ranpokunagama area.

The woman in question died while receiving treatment at Horana Base Hospital. Before her body was brought home for final rites, the suspects took advantage of a moment when no one was at home and entered the house. They attempted to steal numerous items worth over two and a half lakhs of rupees, including brass items, sewing machine parts, and mobile phones, and flee.

Acting promptly on information received about the incident, officers from the Horana Headquarters Police arrested the suspects and took the stolen goods found in their possession into police custody. The two arrested suspects are scheduled to be produced before the Horana Magistrate's Court.
