The Magistrate, noting that the suspect is being questioned within the Narahenpita Police division and that this court only considers matters related to the Prevention of Terrorism Act, ordered that further facts be presented before Magistrate No. 03. The Magistrate also expressed his displeasure that the police were unaware of the proper court to which the suspects should be presented, despite having arrested and questioned them.

During interrogations of this suspect, it has been revealed that a large sum of money was spent on the election campaigns of two powerful opposition politicians. It was stated that one politician was given 50 buses and another large cash gift, and it is reported that one of the politicians who received money represents the Kalutara area. These investments were made with the aim of legitimizing illicit money earned through the drug network, and these hotels have been operated under the names of impoverished individuals who own coastal land, as well as others. Furthermore, it has been revealed that he has constructed several luxurious apartment complexes in Boralesgamuwa, Dehiwala, Mount Lavinia, Ratmalana, and Moratuwa, and has even illegally taken possession of government lands to build hotels and houses.
