Six suspects arrested in Ratmalana with a cache of deadly weapons

Officers of the Mount Lavinia Anti-Corruption Unit have successfully raided a house located in the Gona Kovila area of Ratmalana and arrested six suspects along with a locally manufactured hand grenade and various other deadly weapons. During this search, three swords, an axe, three daggers, and the aforementioned hand grenade were taken into police custody.

An officer of the Mount Lavinia Police Special Motorcycle Unit has arrested a person with one gram (1,000 milligrams) of 'Ice' drug in Arthur Place, Ratmalana. Through questioning the suspect, information about this drug trafficking location was revealed, and it was also discovered that the main entrance of the house where the drugs were sold had a sign stating "Supun the Serpent, Entry Prohibited."

Officers also found three hundred thousand rupees (three lakhs) suspected to have been earned from drug trafficking and eight mobile phones at the location. The main suspect arrested is 29 years old, and the other suspects are residents of Ratmalana, Nawalapitiya, and Eheliyagoda areas. Further arrangements have been made to produce these suspects before the court and obtain detention orders.
