It was confirmed that the sperm on the mat belonged to Pallewela Himi.

The Government Analyst's report has confirmed that the semen of the suspect monk was found on the doormat taken into custody by Nittambuwa Police, in connection with the incident of severe sexual abuse of a minor girl, which is alleged against the former Atamasthanadhipathi of Anuradhapura, Pallegama Hemarathana Thero. A copy of this official analyst's report, bearing case number B 22424/2026, filed with the Anuradhapura Chief Magistrate's Court, has also been forwarded to the Attorney General.

According to the report, it has been confirmed that the semen of the suspect Hemarathana Thero was present on both sides of the doormat, and no bloodstains were identified on it. Furthermore, the report further reveals that the long strand of hair found at the crime scene and sent to the analyst does not belong to the victim girl but to another woman.

The victim girl had stated to the Nittambuwa Police that she was subjected to severe sexual abuse inside the monastery (Avasa Geya), and that the suspect monk used the doormat at the foot of the bed to wipe off semen that had fallen on the floor. Subsequently, the girl pointed out the scene of the incident, the monastery room, the bed, and the doormat to police officers. A police team, including Chief Police Inspector Vinicia Premaratne, OIC of the Gampaha District Children and Women's Bureau, and Police Inspector Vasundara Gunaratne, conducted these investigations with the assistance of the Anuradhapura Police.

Currently, the suspect in this case, Pallegama Hemarathana Thero, remains under strict bail conditions imposed by the court, and the travel ban imposed on him continues to be in effect. Anuradhapura Magistrate Pasindu Wickramarathne adjourned the case until January 08, 2027, pending instructions from the Attorney General.
