Gnanasara Thero's security guard commits suicide

A police officer assigned to security duties at the Sri Saddharmarajika Rajamaha Viharaya in Rajagiriya, Nawala, where the Venerable Galagodaaththe Gnanasara Thero resides, has committed suicide by shooting himself with his official firearm. The officer who died in this unfortunate incident, which occurred this afternoon (20), was 36 years old.

Police suspect that the officer may have committed suicide using his official firearm, and information has also been revealed that he had been suffering from some illness for the past few days.
