Due to a large number of jellyfish suddenly washing ashore on the Panadura beach, a special request is made to the public to refrain from bathing in that sea area. This situation arose after a group of people who were bathing in the sea last Sunday holiday were injured by touching these jellyfish.
Steps have been taken to immediately admit about ten people injured in this incident to the Panadura Base Hospital. It is reported that among those who suffered from allergies and injuries were four small children, and hospital sources state that all those hospitalized have recovered and been discharged after receiving the necessary treatment.
According to reports, nearly 300 small jellyfish had washed ashore along the entire Panadura beach. The people who came to enjoy the Sunday holiday and were bathing in the sea unknowingly touched these jellyfish, leading to this sudden incident.
