A three-wheeler fell down from Mohini Ella, killing two people.

Two people have died in a three-wheeler accident that occurred this morning (22) near Mohini Ella on the Nallathanniya - Maskeliya main road.

It has been revealed that this three-wheeler, which was traveling from Nallathanniya towards Maskeliya around 8:15 AM, went off the road due to excessive speed, causing the driver to lose control, and subsequently overturned into the Mohini Ella precipice.

At the time of the accident, five people were traveling in the three-wheeler, and those who died were its driver and another adult. Three schoolchildren who were also traveling in it have been seriously injured and admitted to the Maskeliya Divisional Hospital.

A team of police officers is conducting further investigations into the incident, acting on the instructions of the Nallathanniya Police OIC.
