Fort Magistrate Mr. Pasan Amarasena has ordered the remand of three individuals until the 22nd of this month, who are alleged to have observed Prime Minister Ms. Harini Amarasuriya's arrival at an event held at a hotel in Colombo using a telescope.

The police have further informed the court in a report that among these three suspects, who were arrested by the Slave Island Police and produced before the court, two are brothers and they are residents of the Kinniya and Mollipotana areas.

However, the police told the court that the specific locations where the suspects reside have not yet been revealed. Although they stated that they are employed in the Colombo area, the police further mentioned that a specific lodging or place where they are currently staying in Colombo has not yet been disclosed.

The Police Special Task Force (STF) discovered how these suspects carried out the observation using a telescope. It has also been revealed that they arrived at this observation point after traveling a distance of about one and a half kilometers. The Fort Magistrate has ordered the Slave Island Police to conduct a full investigation into the incident and submit a complete report to the court.
