
High-risk Grama Niladhari divisions have been declared, targeting dengue control activities for June 2026. Under this overall program, 331 Medical Officer of Health (MOH) divisions and 538 Grama Niladhari divisions, spread across 14 districts, have been identified as high-risk zones.
Future control activities are planned to be implemented, focusing on these identified areas.In the Colombo District, this includes the divisions of Batapotha, Subuthipura, Thalangama North A, Walpola, Kalapaluwawa, and Muttettugoda in the Battaramulla Medical Officer of Health (MOH) division; and Werahara South, Katuwawala South, Boralesgamuwa East A and B, Neelammahara, Bodhirajapura, and Diwulapitiya East in the Boralesgamuwa division. It also includes Kohuwala, Karagampitiya, and Nadimala in the Dehiwala division; the areas of Egodauyana, Idibedda, Moratumulla, and Willorawatta; and several divisions including Himbutana, Mulleriyawa, Kotuwila, Balagama, Megoda Kolonnawa, Udumulla, and Wennawatta in the Gotatuwa division. Additionally, numerous divisions in Hanwella, Homagama, Kaduwela, Kahathuduwa, Kesbewa, Maharagama, Kolonnawa, Moratuwa, Padukka, Nugegoda, Piliyandala, Pitakotte, and Ratmalana are included.
Several areas within the Colombo Municipal Council (CMC) limits, including Mattakkuliya, Samanthiranpura, Modara, Kotahena, Kochchikade, Ginthupitiya, Masgasveediya, Grandpass, Aluthkade, Keselwatta, Fort, Maligawatta, Kompannaweediya, Waekanda, Hunupitiya, Suduwella, Panchikawatta, Maradana, Maligakanda, Kollupitiya, Dematagoda, Wanathamulla, Kuppiyawatta, Borella, Kurunduwatta, Narahenpita, Thimbirigasyaya, Kirulapana, Bambalapitiya, Milagiriya, and Wellawatta, have also been included in this high-risk list.
In the Gampaha District, Kalagedihena, Sapugastenna, Thihariya, and Magalegoda in the Attanagalla division; Mukalangamuwa and Liyanagemulla in the Seeduwa division; and Ariyawetiya, Pattiya, and Wedamulla in the Kelaniya division have been declared as high-risk. Additionally, numerous divisions in the Medical Officer of Health (MOH) divisions of Ragama, Minuwangoda, Negombo, Biyagama, Wattala, Katana, Dompe, Ja-Ela, Mahara, Divulapitiya, Yakkala, and Mirigama have been declared as high-risk.
In the Kalutara District, Atulugama and Epitawella in the Bandaragama division, as well as divisions belonging to the Medical Officer of Health (MOH) divisions of Horana, Ingiriya, Matugama, Panadura, Wadduwa, Kalutara, Payagala, and China Fort, are included.
In the Galle District, areas such as Dangewatta, Madapathala, Sangamiththapura, Makuluwa, Magalla, Dewata, Kandawatta, and Thalapitiya, as well as divisions in the Medical Officer of Health (MOH) divisions of Thawalama, Boossa Poddala, Habaraduwa, Baddegama, Karandeniya, and Elpitiya, have been identified under this.
In the Matara District, divisions in the areas of Hittetiya, Welegoda, Walpala, Weliweriya, Walgama, Uyanwatta, Nupe, Aluth Veediya, Devinuwara, and Akuressa,
In the Hambantota District, divisions in the Tangalle, Katuwana, and Walasmulla divisions are also included in this list.
In the Kandy District, numerous divisions belonging to the Medical Officer of Health (MOH) divisions of Galagedara, Gampola, Gangawata Korale, Kundasale, Kurunduwatta, Manikkinna, Pasbage, Udunuwara, Werellagama, and Yatinuwara are at a high-risk level.
In the Matale District, divisions in the areas of Kaludewala, Kohobiliwela, Gongawala, Alu Vihare, Rattota, and Ukuwela,
