Person killed in Galle shooting (photos)

A person who was shot this morning (12) in the Dixon Junction area, Danggedara, Galle, has died.

According to police sources, the crime occurred around 7:30 AM today, when an unknown gunman who arrived in a car shot the individual and fled the scene.

The victim, who was seriously injured due to the gunshot, was immediately admitted to the Karapitiya Teaching Hospital in Galle. However, medical sources have confirmed that he passed away while receiving further treatment after being hospitalized.

The motive for this shooting or the suspects involved have not yet been revealed, and Galle Police have already launched a comprehensive investigation to apprehend the fleeing gunman.
