The Department of Examinations, Sri Lanka, expects to release the results of the recently held 2025 G.C.E. Ordinary Level Examination around mid-June.
Currently, various rumors are circulating on social media platforms stating that the relevant examination results will be released very soon. Responding to an inquiry regarding this, Commissioner General of Examinations, Mrs. Indika Kumari Liyanage, emphasized that a specific date for the release of results cannot be announced at this moment. However, she confirmed that completing these activities and releasing the results by mid-June is their primary plan.
The relevant examination was successfully conducted across numerous centers island-wide, starting on February 17th and concluding on February 26th of this year. According to official data from the Department of Examinations, the total number of candidates who appeared for the examination this time is 451,463. Of these total applicants, 382,249 appeared as school candidates, while the remaining 69,214 faced the examination as private candidates.
