Why did Tangalle teachers turn their backs on Harini? Reasons investigated.

The Tangalle Zonal Education Office has instructed all school principals in the zone to provide reports detailing the reasons for the non-attendance of teachers at the special meeting held on March 15 at the Tangalle Town Hall, chaired by Prime Minister Harini Amarasuriya.

This notification was made through a circular issued on Monday (23) by the Zonal Education Director, Mrs. W. A. S. D. Kalyani. The circular reminded principals that the relevant meeting was organized for teachers in the Tangalle Education Zone, and details of attendees had been requested by the zonal office on a previous occasion.

Accordingly, it is the duty assigned to principals to submit information to the Zonal Education Office before tomorrow (March 26), explaining the reasons for the non-attendance of teachers representing their schools at the said meeting.

The Zonal Education Director further emphasized through the circular that since this information is urgently required for an official purpose, the relevant reports must be sent without any delay.
