Sirasa Asanka passed away early

Ms. Asanka Manori Athukorala, who worked as a senior makeup artist (cosmetics) for Sirasa and Shakthi TV channels, has passed away. She was forty-eight (48) years old at the time of her death.

Due to an illness, she was admitted to Sri Jayewardenepura General Hospital, and while receiving further treatment there, she unfortunately passed away on the morning of the 12th.

Asanka, who received her education at Gothami Balika Vidyalaya in Colombo, had served for a long time as a makeup artist at the Maharaja Television media network and was a close friend to many artists across the island. Arrangements have now been made for the public to pay their last respects to the late Ms. Asanka Manori. Accordingly, her remains will be placed at the Mahinda Panagoda Funeral Parlour in Koswatta, Talahena, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Friday the 13th and Saturday the 14th.

Subsequently, the final rites for the remains are scheduled to take place at 6:00 PM on Saturday the 14th at the Talahena Public Cemetery.
