Four key players from the Sri Lanka national team have currently received official permission to join the world's two leading Twenty20 cricket tournaments, the Indian Premier League and the Pakistan Super League. Sri Lanka Cricket has taken steps to issue the necessary No-Objection Certificates (NOCs) for these players to represent in the respective foreign tournaments.

Accordingly, talented opening batsman Pathum Nissanka and fast bowler Dushmantha Chameera have earned the opportunity to play for the Delhi Capitals in this year's Indian Premier League tournament. Especially since both players had focused on maintaining a very high level of physical fitness before the start of the tournament, Sri Lanka Cricket authorities have decided to grant them this opportunity.

Concurrently, the Cricket Board has also granted official permission to two Sri Lankan players for the Pakistan Super League tournament. Accordingly, former Sri Lanka national team captain Dasun Shanaka and young all-rounder Dunith Wellalage are set to enter the Pakistan Super League representing the Lahore Qalandars team this year.
