Britney Spears arrested for driving under the influence of drugs

Renowned American singer Britney Spears was arrested in Ventura County, California, on the night of Wednesday, March 04, on charges of driving under the influence (DUI) of alcohol and drugs. According to numerous major international media reports, around 9:30 PM that night, she was stopped by the California Highway Patrol while driving a black BMW 430i southbound on Highway 101, located in the Westlake Village area near her home, at a very high speed and erratically.

At that time, she was traveling alone in the vehicle, and after police officers observed that she was under the influence of some drug or alcohol, they arrested her following relevant field sobriety tests. Reportedly, after her arrest, she was taken to a hospital for a short period, and then incarcerated around 3:00 AM on Thursday. Subsequently, she was released around 6:00 AM the same day, and her car was taken into police custody.

It is further reported that the trial related to this incident is scheduled to be held on May 04, 2026.
