American President Donald Trump is currently facing severe criticism due to a controversial video he posted on the social media network "Truth Social". The reason for this is that the video was created depicting former President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle Obama as monkeys.

This video, approximately one minute long, alleged that fraud occurred against Trump during the 2020 presidential election through the Dominion vote counting process. At the end of the video, with the song "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" playing in the background, the faces of the Obama couple were seen grafted onto the bodies of monkeys. Faced with the backlash, he later took steps to remove the video.

Commenting on the incident, Ben Rhodes, a close confidant of Obama and former National Security Advisor, stated that this would be marked as a black stain in Trump's political history. He further added that while the American people will remember the Obamas as honorable figures in the future, Trump will be read as a dark chapter in history. Meanwhile, California Governor Gavin Newsom has also strongly condemned Trump's behavior, noting in an X (Twitter) message that it is a disgusting and shameful act and that all Republicans should protest against it.

This is not the first time Trump has posted such a controversial video; he had previously shared AI-generated videos depicting Obama being arrested and Black leader Hakeem Jeffries in a humorous light. Donald Trump, who refused to accept the results of the 2020 presidential election, repeatedly claimed that he had won the election and that large-scale fraud had occurred through mail-in ballots and voting machines. Despite American election officials and the judiciary confirming the fairness of the election, Trump's accusations led his supporters to storm the US Capitol building and behave riotously in January 2021.

This political conflict between Obama and Trump dates back to 2011, primarily stemming from Trump's continuous questioning of Obama's birth and American citizenship. Throughout Obama's presidency, Trump consistently attempted to portray Obama as a weak leader by criticizing the Iran nuclear deal, Middle East policies, and the economy. Trump has also expressed opposition to Obama receiving the Nobel Prize on various occasions.

Commenting on the criticism surrounding the latest video depicting monkeys, Trump has stated that he will not apologize to Barack or Michelle Obama. He claimed that the video was shared due to an oversight by his staff and emphasized that it was not his fault. Meanwhile, another report indicates that the documentary "Melania: 20 Days to History," based on the life of American First Lady Melania Trump, has failed to attract viewers, with only one ticket sold for its premiere in London.
