A teacher from Nalanda College, Colombo, has lodged a complaint with the Borella Police, stating that despite school authorities being informed about the indisciplinary behavior of the former head prefect of Nalanda College, Colombo, who allegedly enticed female teachers into 'phone sex' videos, no action was taken against him. It is also stated that the female teachers at the school have been severely distressed due to the student's actions,

The complaint states that despite numerous complaints made to the administration, including Principal Mr. Iran Champika Silva, the principal of the primary section, and the teacher in charge of the student prefect board, they have maintained a policy of silence.

These teachers have sought legal assistance, requesting an investigation into the reasons behind the authorities' actions, which allowed the student to continuously pressure female teachers. The Police Media Division, commenting on this complaint, stated that steps have been taken to forward the complaint to the Ministry of Education to proceed with the investigations related to the incident.

Additionally, based on this incident, a Buddhist monk has also filed another complaint against the principal with the Borella Police. The monk has requested an investigation into whether the relevant video footage was released online to earn money, and whether the female teachers enticed the student into such activities. This complaint has been forwarded to the Police Children and Women's Bureau.

It is reported that in response to this controversial situation at Nalanda College, a leading boys' school in Colombo, authorities have taken steps to dissolve the school's prefect board and initiate legal and disciplinary action against the teachers involved. This incident has sparked significant public discussion about the misuse of technology and the damage caused to the school system and individual privacy by exceeding the ethical boundaries of teacher-student relationships.
