According to a special invitation from Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Dissanayake is scheduled to participate in the India–AI Impact Summit 2026, which will be held in New Delhi from February 16 to 20.




Organized under the patronage of the Indian government, this international summit will operate based on three main pillars: 'People, Planet, and Progress,' representing India's vision for international cooperation on artificial intelligence.

A large number of global leaders, policymakers, innovators, and experts in the field will gather at this high-level platform to extensively discuss the future role of artificial intelligence in promoting sustainable and inclusive growth.




Approximately 20 world leaders are expected to participate in this summit, and it has been confirmed that in addition to President Dissanayake, other dignitaries including Bhutanese Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay, Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, French President Emmanuel Macron, Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, Slovak President Peter Pellegrini, Swiss President Guy Parmelin, Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schoof, and Crown Prince of the United Arab Emirates, Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, will also join.

In addition to them, ministerial representatives from over 45 countries, the Secretary-General of the United Nations, and senior representatives from several international organizations are also expected to participate in this summit.



This summit will primarily focus on how emerging new technologies can be practically used to formulate global governance frameworks for artificial intelligence, introduce responsible innovations, and accelerate sustainable development worldwide.
