A motorcycle suspected in the Kalutara shooting is found in Bandaragama

A motorcycle suspected to have been used in the shooting that killed a person last night (14) in the Kalutara, Waskaduwa, Wadiyamankada area was found this morning (15) in the Bandaragama area.





Bandaragama Police stated that the motorcycle was found abandoned near a paddy field near the Kothalawala junction on the Bandaragama - Horana road. It is an 'FZ' type motorcycle, and its front number plate was covered with black tape.




Several other important pieces of evidence were also found at the location where the motorcycle was discovered. Among them were a black safety helmet found on the motorcycle and a brand new black fabric jacket lying on the ground nearby. A few feet away, near the paddy field, police also found a new pair of shoes placed inside a yellow rice sack.

Preliminary investigations have revealed that this motorcycle was used by the individuals who came to kill the 33-year-old man who ran a soup shop in the Waskaduwa, Wadiyamankada area last night (14).



Crime scene investigation officers and fingerprint officers have visited the scene and conducted examinations, and Bandaragama Police are conducting further investigations into the matter.
