Update: Complaint to CID from Nalanda student leader

It has been revealed that the main suspect related to the series of video clips with teachers from Nalanda College, Colombo, which recently stirred up social media, is a student who was the head prefect of the said school and has now been expelled. It is also said that, traditionally, the head prefect of that school is a senior student who has completed the Advanced Level examination, so his departure from school after this incident has not been a problem for him.

Information has revealed that this student, who engaged in sexual acts with four teachers he had studied under or known at the school on several occasions via video calls, secretly recorded these acts by misleading the teachers. These reports further indicate that the recorded footage later fell into the hands of another party and was released onto the internet.

No official complaint has been received by the Borella or Maradana police stations in the area where the school is located so far. However, internal school sources state that this incident occurred some time ago, and with the incident becoming public, school authorities have taken steps to dissolve the entire prefect board, including the head prefect involved.

Videos (without sound) containing sexual discussions and remote interactions between the student and the teachers were released onto the internet thereafter. Four teachers are identifiable in these videos. Two of the teachers appear older, while the other two appear younger. 
An older teacher engaging in inappropriate and unusual behavior is observed completely undressing and showing nudity to the student, while another young teacher is seen on a bed, verbally touching and showing sexual organs to the student. One young teacher's video only contains a discussion with close-up shots of her body, and another video depicts a middle-aged teacher removing her upper body clothing at the student's insistence.
All four of them are suspected to be married. It is reported that they were also transferred from the school after this incident, and their involvement in the incident only became known within the school after the video leak. 

Due to the video leak, these teachers have been subjected to extreme discomfort, and one teacher stated on her social media account that this was a smear created using AI technology. It was also observed that many laughing (haha) reactions were received for it. The other teachers have become invisible on the internet after this incident, but due to the incident going viral, some people were observed creating fake accounts with the names of the student and teachers, deriving undue pleasure. There is no doubt that their families have also been subjected to extreme discomfort due to this leak.

About three weeks ago, the student who is said to have faced the incident lodged a complaint with the Sri Lanka Computer Emergency Response Team, stating that the relevant video clips have now become public and requesting their removal to protect his privacy. The institution then advised him to first go to the Criminal Investigation Department and lodge a complaint about it. 

Accordingly, it has now been confirmed that he has lodged a complaint with the Computer Crime Investigation Division of the Criminal Investigation Department. A senior official there stated that it is true that a request has been received to remove the relevant footage from the internet. Not much time has passed since this request was made, and it was reported that investigations into it have begun.

In addition to engaging in sexual acts with teachers from his school via phone video, investigators are also focusing on whether this 20-year-old student had external meetings and illicit relationships with the teachers.
 It is not yet reported that the teachers have lodged any complaint with the police regarding the incident, and the shame they have endured and the disrepute Nalanda College has suffered due to this incident are not insignificant.
