Resigns from the post of Chairman of the Airport and Aviation Services Company.

Air Chief Marshal Harsha Abeywickrama has resigned from the position of Chairman of Airport and Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) (Private) Limited.

The Ministry of Ports and Aviation announced that Mr. Abeywickrama, despite being appointed to the position in October 2024, has resigned from his post due to several impending institutional structural changes within the organization.

Following his resignation, Mr. W.W.S. Mangala, Secretary to the Ministry of Ports and Aviation, has been appointed as the Acting Chairman to oversee the duties of the said position.
