170 kg of heroin from concluded cases will be destroyed

Today (02), 170 kilograms of heroin, which was scheduled to be destroyed after the completion of legal proceedings, was destroyed at a police incinerator located in the Lactowatta area, Wanathawilluwa.

The destruction of this stock of drugs was carried out under the direct supervision of Colombo Chief Magistrate Asanka S. Bodaragama.

Prior to that, the Colombo Chief Magistrate's Court handed over this stock of heroin to the Police Narcotics Bureau this morning for destruction.

Accordingly, under strict security provided by the Police Special Task Force, this stock of drugs was transported to the Lactowatta Police Incinerator in Wanathawilluwa and completely destroyed.
