Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has stated to the media that a crucial meeting with US President Donald Trump is scheduled to take place this Sunday (December 28) in Florida. This meeting can be seen as an important milestone in the diplomatic efforts led by the United States, with the aim of ending the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, which has dragged on for nearly four years.

Reportedly, during this discussion between the two presidents, the focus is primarily expected to be on security guarantees and an economic agreement for Ukraine. The Ukrainian President mentioned to journalists that the 20-point peace plan currently under discussion is about 90% complete. Furthermore, Mr. Zelenskyy told 'Axios' that if an agreement is reached with the American President, he is ready to put the peace plan to a referendum.

Information has been received that this meeting will take place at Mr. Trump's 'Mar-a-Lago' estate in Florida, where issues related to Ukrainian territory are also expected to be discussed. However, the Ukrainian President has stated that it is not possible to definitively say whether a firm agreement can be reached at the end of this meeting. Although Ukraine is willing to include European representatives in these discussions, due to difficulties in organizing it within a short period, Mr. Zelenskyy further emphasized that they hope to hold a round of discussions in the future involving all three parties: Ukraine, America, and Europe.

Meanwhile, President Zelenskyy, who spoke by phone with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney last Friday, informed him about the diplomatic operations being launched with the United States. A statement released by the Prime Minister's Office indicates that the Canadian Prime Minister emphasized the importance of continuously pressuring Russia for negotiations.

On the other hand, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov has confirmed that a recent meeting took place in Florida between Russian presidential envoy Kirill Dmitriev and American representatives, and that the Kremlin is already in contact with American representatives. He further stated that an agreement was reached to continue the dialogue between the two parties.

Last Tuesday, President Zelenskyy stated that as part of the peace plan, he is willing to withdraw troops from Ukraine's eastern industrial zone and to turn that area into a demilitarized zone under international military observation. However, Russia has so far shown no willingness to withdraw from the territories it occupies. The Moscow regime emphasizes that Ukraine should also abandon the remaining parts of the Donbas region occupied by Russia. Ukraine strongly rejects this demand.

Against the backdrop of escalating conflicts on the battlefield, last Friday, a Russian aerial bomb attack on Kharkiv, Ukraine's second-largest city, killed two people and injured six others. Additionally, attacks were launched on Zaporizhzhia and Uman, too, [the text ends with the word 'siva' as mentioned].
