 Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has affirmed his readiness to provide continuous support for rehabilitation efforts in all disaster-affected areas of Sri Lanka impacted by Cyclone 'Ditwa'. The Indian Prime Minister gave this assurance during a phone conversation with President Anura Kumara Dissanayake yesterday.



The Indian Prime Minister expressed his profound sorrow over the loss of life and property damage reported in Sri Lanka due to the prevailing disaster,


and also recalled that the people of India stand firmly with the people of Sri Lanka during this difficult time.

President Anura Kumara Dissanayake expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Modi for India's swift provision of relief materials and its exceptional contribution to rescue operations in the face of this disaster.

The Indian Prime Minister further assured that, as the first responder in the region, India would provide all necessary assistance in the coming days to support Sri Lanka's rehabilitation process and restore disrupted public services and the livelihoods of people in affected areas.
