Fire at a tire factory in Wawulagala, Horana

A large fire broke out this morning (29) at a tire manufacturing factory located in the Horana, Wawulagala Industrial Zone. It is reported that the fire, which occurred at this factory producing rubber-related products, is currently spreading rapidly.

The Horana Urban Council's fire fighting unit, the police, local residents, and factory workers are all working together to control the fire. However, our reporters state that there is a risk of the fire spreading to other adjacent factories.

Despite strenuous efforts to extinguish the fire, its intensity is causing it to spread further. The cause of the fire has not yet been revealed, and further investigations into the incident are underway.
