A young woman from Pokunuwita dies after complications following a tooth extraction.

A 20-year-old woman tragically died last Sunday (28) night due to complications that arose after a tooth extraction procedure. The Horana Inquest Court reports that the deceased is Kottege Devmi Madushika, a young woman residing in the Pokunuwita, Bandarahena area.

Due to a toothache, the young woman visited a private medical center in the area on the 14th to receive treatment. There, the doctor proceeded to extract a tooth from her upper jaw, and after the treatment, she continuously experienced vomiting and abdominal pain.

Due to the worsening of her condition, she returned to the same medical center for treatment on the 15th. During examinations conducted there, the medical staff observed that her blood pressure had dropped. Preliminary investigations revealed that doctors, realizing the patient's serious condition at that time, immediately advised her hospitalization.
