Wadduwa Police have launched an investigation into a police officer who allegedly broke into an Ayurvedic treatment center located in Wadduwa on the night of the 20th. It is reported that the officer absconded after failing to pay for the services of a female therapist working there.
Regarding this incident, another therapist working at the same treatment center lodged a complaint with Wadduwa Police yesterday (21).Police sources indicate that the said police officer is attached to the Wadduwa Police Crime Investigation Unit. It is further reported that after finishing his official duties, he went to this treatment center late at night and, after requesting the services of a specific female therapist, absconded without paying for her services. However, it is reported that the services at this treatment center were stopped at that time, and the therapist who lodged the complaint stated that she was unable to provide her services to the officer due to the absence of the said therapist.
Following this, the officer verbally abused the said therapist (the complainant), snatched her phone from her hand, and then threw it into a nearby jungle, according to information received by the police. The complainant therapist has also provided a statement to the police regarding this incident. Based on this complaint, a team of special officers from Wadduwa Police is currently conducting investigations.
