Rumors Swirl: Imran Khan's Followers Claim He's 'Killed' While He Enjoys Luxury in Jail

 The administration of Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi has confirmed that rumors circulating on social media claiming former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan has been removed from the prison or assassinated are completely false. Citing jail officials, foreign media have reported that

the founder of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party is currently in very good health and is receiving all necessary medical facilities properly within the prison.

Meanwhile, Pakistan's Defense Minister Khawaja Asif, speaking to the media, stated that imprisoned Imran Khan is receiving facilities and food and beverages of a higher standard than even a star-class hotel. The minister emphasized that looking at the former Prime Minister's food menu, such dishes cannot be found even in a five-star hotel, and that he is leading a very comfortable life inside the prison.

The Defense Minister further revealed that Imran Khan has the freedom to watch any television channel he prefers, as well as exercise equipment for fitness. Additionally, the minister alleged that he has been provided with a comfortable double bed and a 'velvet' mattress, and that these privileges are granted to him under the personal supervision of the prison superintendent.

Comparing his own time in prison with Imran Khan's current situation, Khawaja Asif recalled that he had to sleep on a cold cement floor and eat ordinary prison food. He pointed out that while he endured a very difficult time in the extreme cold of January, relying only on two blankets without hot water, the current prisoner Imran Khan enjoys entirely different luxurious privileges.

Imran Khan has been held in Adiala Jail since August 2023 due to corruption charges and several other legal cases, and he was removed from the Prime Minister's office in April 2022 by a no-confidence motion brought by the opposition.
