Mahinda Rajapaksa Hospitalized for Tests; Namal Assures 'No Serious Ailment'

Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa was admitted to a private hospital in Colombo this morning (27) for a medical examination. According to a close associate of the former President, this hospitalization is not due to an emergency illness but solely for several tests previously recommended by doctors.

It is also reported that there is no particular deterioration in his health condition.

Responding to a question raised by journalists this evening (27) regarding this matter, Member of Parliament Namal Rajapaksa stated that the former President is in good health and does not have any serious illness. The MP emphasized that apart from the normal effects of aging, his father does not have any other specific illness.

Furthermore, Namal Rajapaksa stated that the former President is currently well and that his blessings will continuously be available for the party's future activities.
