Former Minister Lohan Ratwatte has criticized President Anura Kumara Dissanayake over the recent arrests of politicians and their wives.
Speaking at a public rally, Ratwatte expressed his anger, stating that both he and his wife had been placed in remand custody.
“Shameful. Not only did you put me and my wife behind bars, but now another former Chief Minister and a former minister’s wife have also been arrested,” he said.
“You may arrest me. However, if you lay a hand on my wife, I know what I will do” Lohan warned the President.He said that some of the JVP followers should be hanged for what they have done in the past.
Lohan Ratwatte and his wife were remanded in November last year by the Nugegoda Magistrate’s Court.
They were arrested and remanded over the charges of using a luxury car illegally imported and assembled in Sri Lanka,
