Nilanthi Kottahachchi Silenced

 

The firebrand speaker of the NPP has been silenced according to her admission.

MP Nilanthi Kottahachchi has been advised to refrain from making statements to the media.

"I 'm sorry, I am unable to make any comments to the media as I have been instructed by the party not to speak to the media," she stated when reporters posed a question to her on Sunday (16) during the Clean Sri Lanka programme in Gimpatha, Keselwatta.

She was called Uganda Kumari for making unfounded remarks about the Rajapaksha's smuggling currency to Uganda. However when she was challenged for evidence she backtracked. Later she said that people have the right to lie. 

 Recently she filed a complaint with the Police accusing a Rajapaksha loyalist of slandering her.
