Rosy leaves politics after city council term ends - son says

Colombo Mayor Rosy Senanayake has decided to resign from politics after the end of her term in office, her son Kanishka Senanayake said yesterday (15).

Accordingly,

she will continue to be involved in politics for only two years, said Rosie's son Kanishka, a candidate of the Samagi Jana Balawegaya, addressing a public meeting in Colombo.

Although his mother Rosy Senanayake was in Ranil's party, he said it was not a problem for him.
