German lady who comes to Sri Lanka 77 times during her lifetime

We happened to come across a German lady who who has come to this island seventy seven times. She is a businesswoman by the name of M. Marzana. She said that she has a great liking to the environment of this country and that on this occasion she has come to this country with her nephew. Mariana further old us the following story:

"I love Sri Lanka a great deal. In short, Sri Lanka is my second home. Twice every year I definitely
come to this country and it is to Koggala that I come. Initially I came to Sri Lanka with my husband. I came with him several times to this country. Now he is sick ailing from a heart problem. My husband is an engineer. Twice or thrice last time he did not come to Sri Lanka. On this occasion I came with my nephew. Actually Sri Lanka is a lovely country. People in this country are very friendly and pleasant. I like the environment, the beach and natural surroundings in this country very much. Even the beach is protective and clean. That is why I have made it a habit of coming to Koggala. The staff in this hotel are wonderful. 

Two days before the Easter attack I came to Sri Lanka this year. It is the second time I came to Sri Lanka this year. After the Easter attack a lot of foreigners went away; but I didn't go. I even told foreigners tourists who came from Germany not to go. Incidents like that happen in every country. After listening to what I said, some did not go. They spent the time they expected to spend here and then went. By now foreign tourists keep coming into this country. Even if there is a presidential election in Sri Lanka we have no idea about it. Really, Sri Lanka is a country suitable to tour. This time I will be spending three weeks in Sri Lanka".

Her nephew Marco is studying at a technical college in Germany and has come here on six occasions. This is how he expressed his ideas: "Truly, Sri Lanka is a beautiful country. Koggala coast is an alluring place. Not only that, there are many attractive places in Sri Lanka. I like to tour Sri Lanka very much. I will also make our colleagues know about the charm of this country. The manager of this hotel, Mr. Liyanage and the staff are very pleasant people".  

On an inquiry made by us from Koggala beach hotel Mr. Pathmasiri Liyanage, he said, "The touring season begins next month. Still there is no noticeable increase noted about arrivals of foreign tourists. We hope that next month foreign tourists would arrive next month. The collapse of the tourist industry which occured from the Easter attack has still not come back to normal. It is to our hotel that Mariana comes. By now she has come 77 times. She likes the culture of our country very much".
