Body suspected to be that of lady teacher ... found in Mahaweli river!

After 6 days have elapsed by yesterday (6) since the disappearance of the school lady teacher who was coming back home after school and was nearing her home. Of late  a clue was received about a female corpse suspected to be her, her kith and kin have taken steps to identify the said body. 

This half-nude body which had drifted along Mahaweli river from Waththegama in Kandy was
suspected by the relatives as the dead body of the teacher. On information received by police that such a body being was drifting along Mahaweli river, Gampola police have notified Katugasthota, Kundasale, Waththegama and Theldeniya police stations about this and it was found that the body concerned has got drifted into the Polgolla reservoir after which it had fallen down from the dam and then was being drifted across Waththegama into Victoria reservoir. 

On information thus received, relatives of missing lady teacher Nisansala Ratnayaka (27) have pursued the search for the said dead body. It is learned that recovering the body to land is being conducted across operations by police today, it is reported. As so far no other productive clue has so far not been received, relatives are undergoing great anxiety about this dead body, they had informed. 

Chandima Nisansala lady teacher from Kirapana area in Gampola had gone missing at a moment when she was returning home after school. She had been an English teacher at Sri Pada Vidyalaya in Hatton and had been returning home last 1st and has disappeared when she was seen hundred metres away as observed in a CCTV camera close by and she has thus disappeared mysteriously when close to her home. 

This lady teacher has been engaged to a sub-inspector of police of Gampola police and their names were fixed for registration this month 29th while she has thus disappeared in this manner a few weeks before that.
