It was urea nitrate that exploded in all seven attacks on Easter day -- FBI reveals

It has been confirmed that all seven suicide bomb attacks launched by Zaharan's extremist group had been by using urea nitrate explosives. This is confirmed by survey reports given by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) of United States of America as well as that of the government analyst department. 

On a survey carried out by seven special teams of government analyst department it was confirmed
that for all seven attacks urea nitrate explosives were used, government analyst A. Welianga stated. He further mentioned that criminal reports would be forwarded to court within a fortnight while the criminal report regarding the explosion in Kochchikade church would be forwarded first. Suicide bomb attacks were targeted at Kochchikade church, Batticaloa Zion church, Cinnamon Grand hotel, Kingsbury hotel, and a suicide attack of Zaharan in Dehiwala. Apart from such attacks, government analyst department has commenced a special inquiry into suicide attacks carried out in Saindamarthere is udu and Dematagoda housing complex. 

It was confirmed from these inquiries that Nitro was used in these blasts and urea nitrate was used in plenty in the process. "Water gel, Gelagnite, and there is a Nitro base in the dynamite. An attempt has been made to add those material to increase power of the impact. It was the motive of the terrorists to create maximum destruction. A box composed of six batteries of watts nine for every bomb for the electronic circuit. Something between 10 to 13 kilogrammes of explosives in each case has been made use of", an explosives specialist revealed.
