Couple murders young boy and buries him in the jungle!
Ratnapura chief magistrate Mrs. Janitha Roshani Perera day before yesterday (4) a suspect husband and wife including four others to be sent to remand prison till 17th this month for having assaulted a youth and murdering him one and a half years before this.
It was the couple Udeni Mala Roshani (42) and A.G. Lalantha (44) living in Lellopitiya, Banagoda, Kempanaththe and W.A. Wijeynayaka (23) and W.A. Saman Kumara (44) who were so remanded.
They were thus remanded in this manner on suspicion for having assaulted and killed the young boy named Ruwan Kumara (28) living in Balangoda,Waleboda on February 8, 2018 or somewhere on a close date at Lellopitiya, Banagoda, Kempanawattha and buried in Kaluwara kele reserve in Hettikanda. The suspects were produced before courts by Ratnapura police law enforcement division.

The suspects were produced before courts by Ratnapura police law enforcement division.
Last year on February 8th or somewhere at a close date Ruwan Kumara has visited his girl friend's home at Kempanawattha in the night on which occasion he has been involved in a conflict with the girl's father. A crowd who had gathered at a party thrown on invitation by the mother at a nearby home had come to settle this clash and on an incident which flared up in that instance Ruwan Kumara has been assaulted, it was revealed at inquiries and was reported to court by police.
Subsequently Ruwan Kumara has passed away and his dead body was later hidden inside a partially-built house being constructed newly by the side of the road and in the night the corpse was loaded into a three-wheeler and taken to Kaluwara kele reserve in Hettikanda area where a pit was dug and buried there, the court was informed.
As investigations against the suspects are not over, police has requested court not to grant bail to the suspects and to send them to remand prison for a period of fourteen days. The magistrate who took this into consideration instructed that the suspects be kept in remand till 17th of this month. Law enforcement unit of Ratnapura police directed proceedings of the complaint.
