Father in remand whose son passes away when dealing a blow on wife ... goes to see dead body of son ... pleading for forgiveness!

An incident where a blow dealt from the handle of a mammoty by father on his wife during a clash between the two had struck their son who died 5 days later from serious injuries was reported recently from Udumulla area, Balangoda. While this incident was covered up initially by the parents saying that the son became serious as a result of a blow aimed at a mongoose. 

Whatever it is, after the 17 year old boy Naveen Dhananjaya died, police who conducted inquiries
were able to understand the truth about the incident concerned. For this very reason father of  the deceased child was taken into police custody. Yesterday (14) on Nikini Poya Day final rites of the boy was conducted and the father under custody walking up to the funeral house pleading for forgiveness under police protection was indeed an emotional moment. 

"Aney my son ... forgive me ... this is not something I did willfully", the father wailed beside the corpse, embracing the daughter. Niel Piyaratna the deceased child's father was back to remand till next 22nd.
